three months old

 

Reed turned 1/4 of a year yesterday and is doing fabulous! He is still sleeping great- sometimes waking up once to eat and other nights sleeping 12 hours straight, so we can not complain there! He is so happy and is talking so much these days. We just love sitting back and conversing with him ;) We are still battling the cradle cap but it is getting better and if that's our biggest problem, I think we've got it pretty darn good! 

 

We start our family road trip today, so Reed will be making an appearance in several states over the next 11 days! We have Brian's cousin, Kristen getting married in Boston and then my cousin, Megan, getting married in Memphis the following week so we have some fun times and family introductions ahead! Definitely looking forward to our first family vacation...yes, Patron is also joining us on the road :)

 



reed: week 12

Reed had another fabulous week with a few visitors throughout! His Godmother, Courtney, came to visit during the week and got some great one on one time with her! He is a lucky boy to have her in his life. Then after she left to head back to CA, Brian's family came for the weekend! He got to meet Uncle Dave and Paul and cousin, Charles...the biker crew who road their motorcycles all the way to Sandusky, Ohio to play! We all had a great week eating, drinking and being merry :)

reed: week 11

12 weeks ago today we finally met our little boy, Reed! We can't believe it's been 12 weeks and he will be three months old in a few days...

 

This past week he has still been sleeping great and just a pleasure to be around. Football started so Reed got to wear all his fabulous sports attire. He watched his Dad's teams, the Knights dominate on Friday and the Dolphin's dominate on Sunday. Saturday he supported JuJu and BoBo's team, the Mizzou Tigers! He loves his football...and the outfits too :)

reed: week 10

Today Reed is 11 weeks old and everything is going well! He started sleeping 11-12 hours at night over the weekend and it is amazing :) He is coo-ing and smiling more everyday, if thats possible. I feel like a laugh will come any day now! He is so happy and it is so fun to watch him grow by the day.

 

Over the past week he went to the beach again- trying to squeeze as much Patron time in as possible while the weather is nice. He met my old office staff- went to lunch with Dr. Ryu and the girls last week and then this past weekend was Labor Day! Brian, Reed and I went on the Goodtime Boat Island Hopper on Friday which was a blast. Went for a long walk on Kelley's Islands and then rented a golf cart and went all over Put In Bay Island. Reed was fantastic on his first boat ride and island adventure and topped it off with a huge blowout on the boat ride home...which was so big and gross that it brought Brian and I to tears laughing! I'm possitive we looked like first time parents at that moment! Sunday we had a bbq at the pool here at our lofts and had some friends over. Reed loves the pool :) Can't believe it is already September and this little guy will be 3 months old soon. Where did the summer go!

two months old

Reed is two months old in this picture....actually 10 weeks today since I am a bit behind in posting this :)

Reed had his 2 month check up with his pediatrician and things are looking great. He took his shots like a champ- I think I was more disturbed then he was! He is exactly 13 pounds and 22 3/4 inches long. He is in the 68% for weight, 36% for height and 99% for head circumference!!! We knew that head was big coming out of the belly but damn...99%!!! He laughs more and more, smiles all the time and is talking often. We taught him how to stick his tongue out- which we may be paying for down the road but it is so cute right now! Its amazing how he concentrates and tries to mimic you. He is one healthy and happy boy and Brian and I are so thankful for that.

 





reed: week 7 & 8

It's been a few weeks since we've updated this blog...we were on vacation in California! August has been a busy and fun month so far. The past two weeks Reed made a new friend- an 11 month old girl that just moved in across the way, played at the beach, watched Dad race nascar and just spent 10 days in California! Reed was absolutely fabulous on his first plane ride so that was a huge relief for Brian and I :) We flew direct to San Francisco, spent the night at Reed's Godparent's house in Sacramento and then spent a few days celebrating Christopher and Greta's Engagement in Tahoe with lots of family and friends. Brian went home after Tahoe and Reed and I spent the week with my parents in Palm Desert where we visited friends in San Diego and Orange County and then ventured to Ojai where he attended his first wedding! Reed was such a trouper during all this traveling, with only a few meltdowns throughout the 10 day adventure. I was quite nervous for the flight home by myself but Reed was good to his momma and only cried (well lets be honest- he screamed) a few times- once through check-in where I am sure everyone was praying they weren't on our flight, then again while we walked to the gate and then one quick meltdown on the flight- which felt like eternity to me!!! Overall it was a great trip and Reed was amazing considering all he did, we are so blessed he is so good and allowed us to travel and see everyone.

reed: week 6

Week six has been another fun adventure for the Pearson's... Reed started to sleep in his crib at night- which has been great for Brian and I! As much as we loved having him close at night, it is nice to have our room back and use that monitor. We think he is going through a little growth spurt as well. He was eating like crazy for a few days and he has weaned himself from one of the wee hour morning feedings! We now try to put him to bed around 8 p.m. (still trying to work out some kinks here!) and then he usually gets up around 2:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. (ish!) so that is great news for me :) We have also had our share of blowouts this week. So many that we are now experimenting with new brands of diapers. Those aren't too fun for Brian and I but Reed sure think they are funny. He has been smiling so much so at least we know he is one happy camper!
