reed: week 34

Another week of good times and hard times for all here. Reed takes after his mother with the teething issue- he isn't a champ in that area, but I can't blame him!! We have been going through our share of baby Advil and frozen bananas trying to make him more comfortable, which seems to work at times ;) He is also figuring out the official crawl on the knees so maybe that is playing into his fussiness... Overall, he is great! He is chatting more and more- I am sure people think I am crazy as I stroll the grocery aisle coo-ing and aaahh-ing with this dude! He loves it and that's all that matters. He is a maniac around the house. We need to baby proof, we were in denial thinking it could wait until we move out of here but it needs to happen. He outsmarts his momma and fits into the tiniest of crevices to get where he wants to go! My suitcase isn't cutting it :) Reed, Patron and I head to California tomorrow for 2 weeks and we couldn't be more excited to see the sun and warm temperatures, as it has been snowing here for the past two days, AGAIN! We will miss Brian tremendously, love you Da-Da!

Have a great couple weeks all...here are some favorites from last week!

Our big little dude is eight months old today!!! Amazing how fast these past 8 months have gone...and how hard it is to keep him still to take a picture now :) He loved the balloons this time- could stop playing with them! We are truely lucky to have him in our lives. Happy 2/3 Birthday Reed!

And Happy Anniversary to my amazing husband and father to our boys!

reed: week 33

It's been a fun but rough week for Reed....he must have another tooth coming in or else the one that is in is still hurting him. I can't blame him, I would imagine that can't feel great. He is getting the hang of trying to crawl on his knees but he still resorts to the army crawl to really get places. Which he is doing great- I find him in the kitchen, at the door looking at the beautiful snow, pressing the buttons to his Mommaroo...but most of all, I find him with his brother, Patron! They are best buds and it is so cute! Weather-wise, it's been another cold and snowy week with more negative temps and two storms that dumped another 10 inches for us. Reed is so strong, loves to challenge himself and pull himself up on anything to stand. He is a happy boy- even with the teeth coming in- and a total flirt! The ladies at the grocery store always coo at him and he smiles and hides...puts on a little bashful act ;) He turns 8 months old on our 2 year wedding anniversary next week....crazy how fast time flies!

reed: week 32

Huge week for Reed...HUGE! Our son got his first tooth (bottom right!), which was interesting (and miserable) for both Reed and Momma! He learned to crawl forward...he's been crawling in circles and backwards for a while now but he finally figured out how to move towards things!!! He has also figured out how to put his little yogurt chips in his mouth and trying to figure out how the spoon works- which makes for some messy meal times now :) In our swim class on Saturday, the instructor asked if we had dunked our kids in the previous class (different teacher) and I told her we didn't, but that I did because my husband wasn't able to make any more  classes.....so she had everyone dunk their kids. Then at the end of class, she came up to me and asked if I wanted to see my son swim. I said "Of course"! And then she took Reed, blew in his face, dunked him and LET GO! Reed swam (instinctively) to the top, but made it and without any tears or screaming! Everyone was very proud, especially me! It's amazing how much he learns every day. Our little boy is really growing up and it is now time for Mom and Dad to baby proof this house...
