reed: week 31

Week 31 was spent mostly indoors due to another Arctic Blast that we have had the pleasure of dealing with! We even walked Patron in the lofts one day because it was too cold to go outside. Patron took a poop inside, and yes, of course I let him out to do those sort of things...he just didnt want to do it, it was THAT cold!!! So, it has been one of those weeks for us here. Brian is now working 6-12's so we dont get to see him very often but when we do we make the most of it! Reed is talking more and more. He wants to grab things and stand up. Still trying to figure out the forward crawl. We think he is teething and a tooth will pop up any day and we cant wait to see!

reed: week 30

Another great week here! Reed is growing up so fast and conquering new skills left and right. We are very proud of him and can't wait to see what he's got planned next. Crawling has him a little flustered and he gets frustrated easily...but he is SO close!!! He has been making new sounds and it makes us smile and laugh. Everyone is happy here but wish the weather would warm up a bit!

seven months old

January 18, 2014

Our little man is seven months old....!!! Where did the time go! We celebrated his 7 month birthday with our second Mommy & Me swim class and a relaxing weekend at home with Dad, since he will now be working weekends through April. We also learned he is not the biggest fan of balloons, so after these pictures we gave the balloons to our neighbor, Brynn, who loved them! We love our little dude more than we ever imagined :)

he is getting smarter....
what, you want a smile?!?!

reed: week 29

Had a very nice but extremely cold week last week, so cold Brian got to stay home for a day due to the conditions on the roads. Not even Patron enjoyed going outside! Reed had his 6 month check up (a few weeks late) and everything looks good and he weighed in at 18.4 lbs. We had our first Mommy and Me swim class, which was so much fun. Reed has had his share of pool time but to do it with other babies and moms was awesome. He has learned how to use a straw and should be crawling any day now. He is now sleeping on his belly at night, which took a few sleepless nights to figure that one out. He is still the cutest little man alive and brings a smile to our face constantly!

reed: weeks 27 & 28

Reed celebrated his first Christmas and New Years over the past few weeks! The Pearson Family ventured out on our second big road trip of the year. 2,500 miles, 9 states, 4 major stops in 14 days! We spent a week down in Palm City with Grandma Pearson which was fabulous. We ate, drank and enjoyed the outdoors. Reed went swimming in the pool, visited the beach a few times, road in the golf cart and experienced his first bike ride (via the ergo!). His first Christmas was a great one! Then we all ventured to Orlando for a wedding, which was also a good time with all the Pearson boys. After we said our goodbyes to Cathi and Alan, our family headed to Hilton Head for a few days and then spent New Years in Gatlinburg in a cabin where James and John joined us after the new year. We took Reed to the aquarium there and he loved it! He was another spectacular roadie and we were able to enjoy it all- including the long car rides!

Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday season. Here are some favorites from the trip...
