reed: week 22

Reed had a fabulous week...he rolled over for the first time on Friday, November 22! He is now obsessed with his new find and rolls over constantly, even trying to roll over in his monkey chair. He kept Brian and I up all night Sunday rolling over in his crib and getting upset because he hasn't figured out how to roll back over. So Monday was a fun day for the entire family. As happy as we all are, we had a case of the Monday's yesterday! We tried green beans this week, which Reed hated. He didn't scream or fuss- he would just open his mouth and spit it out and say "ahhhhh". So we switched the new food of the week to butternut squash, which he loved! So far our son loves anything orange and not such a fan of greens ;) Go figure! The family went to Detroit this weekend and Reed and Patron both saw the Ford Museum, which was very interesting. We strapped Reed in the ergo and did the big grocery shop, which he always enjoys seeing things from that view :) We are very excited and ready for Thanksgiving and 4 days with Dad!

reed: week 21

Reed turned 5 months this week!! He is getting so big and his personality grows every day :) He is still trying to roll over- actually getting a little frustrated with himself but it will come sooner than later. Everyone tells us to enjoy the days where he can't roll over, so that is what we are doing. This week we introduced him to carrots and he loved it as much as the sweet potato. He is a great eater! He is beginning to hold his bottle- we don't give him one very often so we are quite proud! He is in awe with his hands and is still putting everything in his mouth.

five months old

November 18, 2013

Reed Stephen is FIVE months old today! It is just incredible how fast these months have gone by. He is back to sleeping like a champ- went down at 7 last night and didn't wake up until 7:15 this morning!! Brian had the pleasure of helping with this "photo shoot" and what a memorable time that was for all of us ;) I think we were both sweating by the end of it... Too much fun was had here at the Pearson Place last night! Hope everyone has a Happy Monday :)

reed: week 20

20 weeks has flown by, can't believe next week our little boy will be 5 months old! This past week has been great. Reed started sleeping through the night again, goes down around 7pm and usually wakes to eat around 4am and then back down for a few more hours...so that is very nice! We introduced another food to him this past week- the sweet potato- and he loved it! He can sit up pretty good now, although he gets tired and crashes hard so we still have to watch him closely. He is still so happy and every giggle melts our hearts. We love our little Reed!

reed: week 19

Week 19 was another great week here at the Pearson place :) Reed is just fantastic and so much fun. Fall is in full swing and he loves the trees and the falling leaves. He is getting so close to rolling over and sitting up! He has been shoving everything in his mouth, including both fists and his favorite is his bath time ducky! He enjoyed another holiday this past week- Halloween! He didn't really enjoy his Duck costume and was much happier playing with and talking to it once it was off of him, but it did make for a few fun photos! We have continued to feed him one meal a day- this week we experimented with avocado. Unlike his Mom and Dad, he wasn't a fan! I think it was the texture, the sliminess made it hard to swallow. I actually thought he was choking at one point so I ripped him out of his Bumpo chair and started whacking him on the back (like I learned in CPR!)... Might have overreacted just a tad! Needless to say, we are going to pass on the avocado until he likes his Mexican food :)
