six months old

Reed celebrated his 1/2 Birthday on Wednesday, December 18! Can't believe it has already been 6 months with this little guy. He is amazing. We are blessed!!

reed: week 25

Another successful week for Reed...it is amazing how much he changes daily! He is starting to grab at everything. I lost my water mug to this guy a few days ago. He wants anything you have so it is a challenge to hold him and try and drink or eat anything. He has also learned of his brother, Patron, this past week. He thinks he is so funny when he catches his toys in the air, he tries to pet him now and he turns and follows him wherever he goes! They are going to be quite the pals here soon. We got a good 6 inches of snow here on Saturday and then the family ran in the Santa Hustle 5K on Sunday so we put Bob (the stroller) through a lot but he did great! Overall, another great week here. We visit Santa tonight and then leave for Florida on Friday so we are all looking forward to a relaxing trip in better weather :) And this little dude turns 6 months old tomorrow....WOW!

reed: week 24

Another great week here in Sandusky for the Pearson's...minus the awful weather. It's freezing cold and then we get the whipping winds on top of that which make it all that much worse! Makes walks outside super fun ;) Reed is rolling everywhere. He is making new sounds. He is finding his feet more and more each day...I can expect them to be in his mouth soon here! We tried a plain yellow squash this week and he hated. Next we tried green apples, which he also hated. Guessing they were too tart for him so we will have to get red ones next time. So Reed has been eating a lot of carrots in between these trial and errors :) He loves them so he should have some dynamite eyes. Brian had his Bechtel Christmas party this past week so Reed went to the hotel babysitter for the few hours Mom and Dad played! First time non family watched our little man. Everyone survived!!!

reed: week 23

Another great week here for the Pearson's. Reed celebrated his first Thanksgiving with us here in Sandusky. Uncle James was also here to share in the festivities. We had a great time eating, drinking and being merry! We tried feeding Reed a red pepper, which Reed hated. On Thanksgiving we gave him some mashed potatoes, which he also hated. We were surprised by that one! James caught Reed do a "double roll over" so he managed to roll from his back to belly and then roll back to his back again! We got him a new mat to play on and he is scooting in circles on his belly....so crawling may be coming sooner than later! It is amazing how much he changes daily. Brian really noticed it being home for 4 days with us. Reed is so active, so happy and such a fun dude! We are so lucky.

reed: week 22

Reed had a fabulous week...he rolled over for the first time on Friday, November 22! He is now obsessed with his new find and rolls over constantly, even trying to roll over in his monkey chair. He kept Brian and I up all night Sunday rolling over in his crib and getting upset because he hasn't figured out how to roll back over. So Monday was a fun day for the entire family. As happy as we all are, we had a case of the Monday's yesterday! We tried green beans this week, which Reed hated. He didn't scream or fuss- he would just open his mouth and spit it out and say "ahhhhh". So we switched the new food of the week to butternut squash, which he loved! So far our son loves anything orange and not such a fan of greens ;) Go figure! The family went to Detroit this weekend and Reed and Patron both saw the Ford Museum, which was very interesting. We strapped Reed in the ergo and did the big grocery shop, which he always enjoys seeing things from that view :) We are very excited and ready for Thanksgiving and 4 days with Dad!

reed: week 21

Reed turned 5 months this week!! He is getting so big and his personality grows every day :) He is still trying to roll over- actually getting a little frustrated with himself but it will come sooner than later. Everyone tells us to enjoy the days where he can't roll over, so that is what we are doing. This week we introduced him to carrots and he loved it as much as the sweet potato. He is a great eater! He is beginning to hold his bottle- we don't give him one very often so we are quite proud! He is in awe with his hands and is still putting everything in his mouth.
